It represents the safest and most affordable and efficient means to eliminate herpes and cold sore outbreaks.

Outbreaks of herpes have been eliminated permanently through the use of H-Balm and H-Balm Daily. There isn’t anyone out there that carries either a stronger or more effective formula to treat herpes, guaranteed.

How H-Balm and H-Balm Daily Works

The essential oils have the ability to penetrate into the membranes of the cells which provides a broad gamut of different actions against the herpes virus. The H-Balm oils are lipophilic which means that they are soluble in the fatty tissues and cell membranes. The action also means that the oils are able to be directly absorbed into the bloodstream through the topical application. It’s really somewhat akin to the patch concept of the nicotine patch. This type of action has been proven quantitative in the past.

This is why that when you use essential oils in a medicinal topical application the organic pure oils are completely necessary. The products that have the natural oils that aren’t organic in nature are usually ones that have been treated with pesticides or herbicides. If you don’t use a topical application that is completely natural you’re going to be putting all of these pesticides and herbicides into your bloodstream. This could lead to some potentially serious health consequences down the line. You might not think that there is anything worse than herpes right now but there easily could be.

Information ignorance that can be seen from some of the other products that is out there. Although they are much cheaper they have lead to some serious health accidents in the past. Don’t skimp on your health, either with herpes or other.
The unique action hat you get from the H-Balm product helps to also provide pain elimination in the nerve endings. There is nothing that penetrates into the cell membranes to work to inactivate the herpes virus as fast or as efficient as the pure essential oils that is found in this product.

Aviralex and Herpes

Wed, 05/19/2010 - 19:24

Aviralex is something that is a sulphate based herpes medication that has trace metal of copper in it as an aqueous herbal foundation. Also contained in it is the herb lemon balm as well as the ammoniated acid that is found in de-ionized water.

One very important thing to note is that the molecule Aviralex has both the acid group as well as the sulphur molecule that is attached. That formulation progression is an indispensable factor in the composition of the Aviralex product. The combination effect is something that causes the Aviralex product to be able to infiltrate the membrane of the herpes simplex virus thus the annihilation of the virus upon contact.

The Aviralex Study

Recently Aviralex completed an all-inclusive study of a three year period in laboratory conditions. The study is one that included what’s referred to as a double blind trial. The double blind trial compared Aviralex and placebos. The comparison was to look at the time that it took for each of the patients to scab over and heal. For example, a subject’s lesions dried out in a 6 hour period of time and through using Aviralex the new skin appeared in just 72 hours of time.

The ingredient combination that makes the Aviralex has been proven to be highly successful.

Ingredients

Sulphur

One of the main Aviralex ingredients is sulphur. Sulphur is an age old remedy that’s been used to fight infections. Due to the inherent success it’s the basis of many modern antibiotics. The sulphate molecule is something that is a very essential component to the Aviralex solution.

Lemon Balm Leaves

The lemon balm leaf, stem and flower have been used medically dating all the way back to the time of the Romans. Lemon balm is something that is used very widely as completely natural therapy in order to suppress both HSV1 and HSV2.

The soothing and healing properties that are in lemon balm are something that has been proven by standing the test of time throughout the centuries. Lemon balm helps to reduce the inflammation and the pain that is associated with the herpes simplex virus dramatically.

Saint John’s Wart

Saint John’s Wart is something that has been shown to hold remarkable antiviral activity. Experiments done both in test tubes as well as animals have shown that the plans two most active chemicals are clearly effective against many retroviruses including that of HSV1 and HSV2.

Using the Product

You can get anywhere from 40-60 applications form just one bottle. It’s possible that just one bottle is all that you’ll need to prevent future outbreaks from occurring. Aviralex is:

  • Fast
  • Safe
  • Effective

The application process is a very imperative part of the Aviralex healing process. You must read all of the directions before you use it.

  • Apply Aviralex when your sore(s) are open and your lesion(s) are active. Don’t apply when you’ve got the stinging or tingling feelings that happen before the outbreaks. Also don’t apply when you have blisters. You have to wait for the blisters to break open before you apply Aviralex as it has to be able to penetrate into the skin to be effective.
  • Apply the Aviralex product to skin that is cle4an and dry. If you have any other products on your lesion you must remove them first.
  • To apply Aviralex you must use a clean cotton swab to the affected area. Allow it to air dry. Make sure that you only apply the product one time per outbreak.
  • Allow the scabs that are formed by Aviralex to heal completely on their own. Resist the urge to scratch and let the scabs fall off naturally.
  • If you feel any stinging you shouldn’t be alarmed. What’s happening is the product is simply penetrating the skin and taking effect. If it does get too severe you need to simply wash the area off with soap and water.

Herpes, the Facts about the Facts

Wed, 05/19/2010 - 19:16

Following the proper levels of exercise and routines is the key to maintaining and living the best life possible when afflicted with the herpes simplex virus. There are two different control methods that are being worked on and tried today.

They are:

1. Antiviral therapy
2. Immunotherapy
Both of the antiviral and immunotherapy will work to change more lives and work with people to help create more peace of mind in their lives than of any other program that has been developed towards the remission of herpes. Following and working towards things like this and going through the treatment process will help people to get their lives back on track and has save countless numbers of relationships and friendships.

Antiviral Therapy

The objective of the antiviral therapy is to allow the development of drugs which are able to make distinctions between cells that harbor the herpes simplex virus and those cells that don’t. The drugs that are developed must be extremely selective by destroying the virus inside those afflicted cells and not harm the normal cells. In that lays the caveat.
In addition to that the antiviral drugs must also destroy the virus on the whole without leaving behind any fragments of it or producing dangerous mutations that could cause problems later on down the line. At the core the antiviral agents have to be only lethal to the virus itself but be non-toxic as to not affect the body’s cells.

Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is an extremely exciting area of medicine. The immunological researchers are currently working toward the development of agents which will help to fight the virus through the natural stimulation of the body’s immune response system. Some of the substances that are currently available are able to activate the specialized white blood cells.

Diet

One of the most important factors of helping to keep people in their remission is diet. It’s been founds that foods that are very high in l-lysine and low in arginine can help to stave off herpes outbreaks.

Herpes Treatments

Wed, 05/19/2010 - 19:15

As the herpes epidemic gets more and more visibility there are more and more researchers and scientists that are looking at the different drugs that can eventually provide better management of and earlier diagnosis of recurrent genital herpes.
So what’s new with the treatment of herpes?

Vaccines

There are herpes vaccines that are currently being investigated and the thought process is that there could be an effective vaccine within 3 to 5 years time. Once the vaccine is available it’s of course only going to prevent new infections. Anyone that already has the herpes simplex virus will of course not gain any benefit from the production of a vaccine. There are some vaccines that have been tested though but as of yet they haven’t done anything with regards to the prevention of the herpes simplex virus occurrence having no noticeable effects at all.

Some of these include:

  • Smallpox
  • Polio
  • Lupidon C

Some labs are in the middle of the trial phases and there is a drug called Isoprinosine that’s currently available in more than 56 countries. Most of the countries have approved its use for infections of the herpes simplex virus due to the drugs antiviral actions and even more significantly the ability for the drug to be able to stimulate the body’s immune system response.
Currently the drug is in investigational trials in the United States for the drugs ability to help both recurrent and the primary cases of herpes simplex virus cases.

Treatment Options

So what are the treatment options for everyone that is afflicted with herpes?
Even though there is no current cure for herpes there are drugs that are out there that have shown some effectiveness in the reduction of the frequency as well as the duration of herpes outbreaks. If you are afflicted with herpes you should discuss this with your doctor.

When You Have an Outbreak

When you’re having an outbreak you need to make sure that you keep all of the infected areas as dry and clean as you possibly can. This is going to help the natural healing process. There are some doctors that will recommend to you that you take warm showers to clean the infected area. After you’ve done this you’ll want to towel dry yourself gently. You can also dry the afflicted area with a hair dryer using either a low or cool setting. In order to prevent chaffing you want to make sure that you avoid tight fitting clothing. Most all creams and lotions don’t do any good at all and are likely to irritate.
Last but certainly not least is maintaining a healthy immune system. This could be one of the biggest keys in the controlling of the virus. Don’t ever ignore the need for you to have the big three:
1. Proper nutrition
2. Exercise
3. Rest

Lysine and Herpes Control

Wed, 05/19/2010 - 19:12

One of the most common things to come up is how the amino acid lysine is able to control herpes outbreaks and if it’s in fact even true.
The simple answer to that question is yes.
The more detailed explanation is that the supplementation of lysine in free form has had very beneficial effects with regards to controlling herpes through a diet that is high in both high in lysine and low in arginine. This is suggestive of the ability for doctors and scientists to study the effects of lysine in the infections of herpes simplex. All indications are that it does absolutely no harm and in fact can be a quite useful therapeutic measure.
Cultures of tissue have been demonstrated to show beneficial effects of a viral replication when the ratio of amino acids of arginine to lysine favors the arginine. Take that to the polar opposite and the preponderance of the lysine to the arginine and it will suppress that same viral replication and will inhibit the herpes simplex virus.
Through those studies it appears that l-lysine is in fact a very effective agent in the reduction of herpes outbreak occurrences as well as both the healing time and the severity when outbreaks do occur.

The Foods

There are some foods that are high in the lysine and low in the arginine. The following is that list:

  • Fish
  • Chicken
  • Beef
  • Lamb
  • Milk
  • Cheese
  • Beans
  • Brewer’s yeast
  • Mung bean sprouts
  • Almost all fruits and vegetables, not including peas

Additionally:

  • Gelatin
  • Chocolate
  • Carob
  • Coconut
  • Oats
  • Whole wheat
  • White flour
  • Peanuts
  • Soybeans
  • Wheat germ

Dosages

The amounts of lysine that are required to be able to control herpes vary case by case but the typical dose needed to keep the virus in remission is around 500mg per day and active herpes required between 1-6 g between meals in order to induce the healing process.

Vir-L-Lysine and Herpes

Wed, 05/19/2010 - 19:07

When it comes to herpes treatment the supplement Vir-L-Lysine has been designed scientifically. The preparation of this supplement has been done in a very unique way being composed of an amino acid base and then the formulation of aids to allow for utmost constancy of the supplement.

So how can Vir-L-Lysine assist you? Vir-L-Lysine:

  • Will boost the immune system and help you stave off herpes infections and help you to become healthier by and large as well
  • Will help you avoid herpes outbreaks
  • Will shorten the outbreak impact when they do happen
  • Will help to keep your herpes in remission and help you to lead a

more normal life
A study found that 96% of patients at Cedars of Lebanon labs kept their herpes in remission when using Vir-L-Lysine. When the supplement was stopped it was found that within 1 to 4 weeks they were able to predict the return of the lesions.

L-Lysine

The way the body utilizes lysine is in the promotion of the building of new tissue. Additionally it helps the body and its protective substances. Two examples of that would be the antibodies and the enzymes. L-lysine is something that is a natural food constituent so there are no detrimental effects of toxicity. Some additional ingredients are that of bee pollen which is a panteothenic acid taken from a natural source as well as adrenal and pituitary tissue. Its natural nutrient properties make it an essential in the preparation and combination of the Vir-L-Lysine product.

Dosage

Taking three of the Vir-L-Lysine pills one time per day before your meals is the recommended dosage. The only exception would be if you sense that the disease has the potential to be activated. Possible indicators could be:

  • Stress to the body, a cold being an example
  • Fever
  • Sunburn
  • Menstruation
  • Upset stomach
  • Family problems

These types of stress and others are something that alters the amount of l-lysine and others that are circulating through the body’s bloodstream. When this occurs it is recommended that you augment the Vir-L-Lysine that you’re taking to 4-6 pills per day.
You should be sure to avoid the following:

  • Chocolate
  • Carob
  • Popcorn
  • Corn
  • Rice
  • Nuts
  • Red wine
  • Processed cheese

Never ignore the need for you to exercise proper nutrition. Having a vigorous immune system is something that is a key in managing and keeping herpes under control. Always rest and make sure that you’re exercising!

Oral Herpes

Sun, 05/16/2010 - 20:25

Fever blisters, otherwise known by cold sores are something that is caused from the herpes simplex virus. They are very small and painful blisters or sores that are filled with fluid. There are six places that they’d appear:

  • Lips
  • Throat
  • Mouth
  • Chin
  • Nose
  • Cheek

The cold sores, or oral herpes, are actually quite common. It’s actually estimated that around 80% of the population has at one point been exposed to HSV1 or the herpes simplex virus.

There are some things that will precede the blisters by around 1-2 days and those are:

  • Pain
  • Itching
  • Tingling

It’s not recommended that you have any sexual contact during this time, which includes oral to oral as well as vaginal or anal. It’s very risky to do so. The virus spreads through person to person contact through sexual intercourse, kissing, or other close contact with the stores or you can even transfer through skin that appears normal that is shedding the virus. In order to be contagious you don’t have to be symptomatic. Also you could be shedding asymptomatically. Another means of transmitting the virus is infected saliva.

Finger herpes, herpes whitlow, is most often contracted through the touching of cold sores. You need to make sure you’re practicing good hygiene by washing your hands immediately after you touch a cold sore or another sensitive area that is in the prodromal stage in order to prevent your spreading of the virus to other parts of your body or to others. The virus can be killed easily through just washing with soap and water.

Oral herpes is something that can be caused by either HSV1 or HSV2 but most typically the HSV1 is going to be located above the waist. Genital herpes is most often caused by HSV2 and is most often going to be found below the waist.

The reoccurring outbreaks are akin to the initial infection. The only difference is that they will get milder in time. Reoccurrences of oral herpes is usually going to involve only the lips, the mouth and the throat will be involved to a much lesser extent. Some of the factors that could induce an outbreak would be the following:

  • Surgery
  • Illness
  • Stress
  • Fatigue
  • Skin irritation
  • Diet
  • Menstruation
  • Alcohol

A good way to stave off the outbreaks is by increasing your lysine. There are many helpful products out there that can help you to both manage and also shorten the length of your outbreaks. Through being aware and working to avoid the causes and also through the use of preventative products you’ll be able to potentially do a lot to reduce your reoccurrences.

It’s important that you don’t confuse cold sores with canker sores, they aren’t the same. A cold sore is going to mostly occur on the outer lip but the canker sore is going to be found mostly on the inside of the mouth. People will often mistake a canker sore for a cold sore. Oral herpes is something that usually will appear on the roof of the mouth or in the gum area. Any sore that is in the soft tissue of the mouth is usually always going to be a canker sore.

If You Think You Have Herpes

Sun, 05/16/2010 - 20:23

The most important thing is that you should do if you think you have herpes is go to a doctor while you’re still presenting the symptoms. The doctor is going to view the affected area and will obtain a sample from the sores that are and have them tested to see if they present herpes virus. The test that should be requested specifically is a virus culture/assay for the herpes virus. The test isn’t going to work if the sores have healed so you need to go to the doctor while the sores are present.

The current known tests for herpes are:

  • Antigen test
  • Pap smear
  • Cell culture test

The blood tests are going to be used most often when someone is concerned they have the herpes virus but isn’t presenting any visible signs or symptoms of the disease. In the past the type specific blood tests weren’t as accurate due to the fact that herpes virus antibodies (other) were confused like the:

  • Chicken pox
  • Epstein Barr
  • Mononucleosis

Something that’s called the Western Blot has been the long held testing standard for diagnosis. The test was designed for testing of antibodies. The problem with this test isn’t in accuracy but holds its problem in cost and time consumption.
The FDA approved some other blood tests more recently which are much more accurate and are type specific blood tests in order to diagnose herpes. The newer tests cost 1/5th of the cost of the Western Blot testing, are faster and much easier to administer.

One of the tests is the POCkit HSV2 Rapid Test which is an accurate test in order to diagnose the herpes simplex virus type 2, genital herpes. The name of the test (POC) is for the Point of Care. Basically this means that the testing can be done directly in the doctor’s office and you’ll get your results in office in less than 10 minutes of time.

A test for HSV1 has been created too which is where the doctor’s office will take a blood sample from your arm. This has to be sent to the lab for testing so the test for the HSV1 will obviously take a little longer but depending on the lab you should still get them within just a few days.

One of the other blood tests is the HerpeSelect which is a test from a company called Focus Technologies. The tests aren’t able to determine the origin of a genital or oral infection though. Most all of the cases of genital herpes are HSV2 which is a positive type 2 result. This is something that is almost always indicative of a genital infection.

Herpes Type Identification

Sun, 05/16/2010 - 20:21

Most anyone that is reading this is going to know whether or not they actually have genital herpes or not so that’s not really the point of this. What it is is that most people don’t know whether or not they have either HSV1 or HSV2. You might be wondering though if there is really any practical reason to find out or not.

There are a few reasons for this but the main one would be in the case that both partners have genital herpes. A couple like this is going to likely think that they won’t have to take any kind of precautions to prevent transmission from happening as they’ve already contracted the infection. The problem with that though is that one of the infected partners could have HSV1 and the other might have HSV2 so when having intercourse they could infect the other with the second type without even realizing it.

To make this a little more specific there might be one of them which have HSV1 which is a more gentle form of herpes and then could acquire HSV2 which is much more aggressive resulting in many more reoccurrences and more shedding.
Getting an HSV1 diagnosis after the initial episode is something that isn’t a very easy task to do though. The reason for this is that HSV1 isn’t a reoccurring one anywhere near the extent of HSV2. With this being the case being able to get an HSV1 culture can be almost impossible to get sometimes. Since many of the people that have an oral case of HSV1 doing a Western blot serology, which is a blood test) wouldn’t give a positive identification of a genital infection.

One possible solution to this problem would be a process of elimination. The Western blot test is the test that can tell if you have the HSV2 or not. If you’re negative through the blood testing for the type 2 but you’re positive for the type 1 it would of course give you a very strong indication of the source of your outbreaks.

Herpes Overview

Sun, 05/16/2010 - 20:19

What Is Herpes

Herpes is actually a common viral infection. Herpes will cause oral herpes, fever blisters or cold sores. It will also cause genital herpes which are genital sores/sores that are almost always underneath the waist.

There are two different types of the herpes simplex virus:

  • HSV1 Herpes Simplex Type 1
  • HSV2 Herpes Simplex Type 2

When looked at under a microscope the HSV1 and HSV2 look identical. It is possible for either type to affect either the mouth or the genitals. It’s only the most common that HSV1 is an above wait and the HSV2 a below wait.

The natural defense system for the body is referred to as the Immune Responses. Whenever the herpes virus attacks the body’s immune system the body will fight back against it. As the battle begins to intensify there are some heavy losses by not just the herpes virus but by the immune system as well. This will cause the body to be far less able to defend itself from attacks from other viruses. For many reasons but this reason especially the herpes patient should make sure to keep their herpes under control at all times.

The Herpes Attitude

There are a couple of different attitudes towards herpes:

  • Herpes doesn’t affect any additional part of the body
  • There’s nothing to be done to avoid another outbreak

It’s important to be informed and educate yourself about your virus as both of these attitudes are wrong.

Get Informed

One important thing to remember is that you’re not alone. The estimate is that around 80 million people throughout the United States are affected by herpes. That correlates to just about every 1 out of 5 Americans.

1 out of every 4 teen girls in America that is between the ages of 14-19 in age has or has had an STD. This is from an estimate from the CDC and it has the adolescent health experts quite troubled. Out of the study it shows that 2% of these girls have herpes.

Additionally, from the CDC study mentioned above, only ½ of these teen girls have admitted to having sex. When asked to define sex most all of the teens defined having sex as intercourse only and didn’t include other types of intimacy, one example of these being oral sex. Oral sex is just as likely to spread diseases, this includes herpes. Out of these girls 40% of them that admitted to having sex had an STD, alarming!

Although we’re talking about the teen girls from the CDC study a little the following goes for anyone, get more information. The more informed you are about herpes the easier it’ll be for you to manage your disease.

Controlling Herpes

You need to do what you can for yourself to ensure that you’re limiting the reoccurrences. You can do this by making sure that you’re:

  • Maintaining good general health
  • Adding lysine into your diet
  • Keeping your stress to an absolute minimum

You should take care of the affected skin area by keeping that area dry as well as clean whenever you’re going through an outbreak which will help the healing process.

Some of the first symptoms of an outbreak are tingling, itching or burning. You should make sure that you avoid any physical contact during this time and after until all of the sores are completely healed. Don’t assume that once they are scabbed over that you you’re ok, you’re not. You need to also be quite aware of possible shedding, also known as asymptomatic transmission. This can happen even after the sores have healed.

Always use condoms! When condoms are used properly they can help you with your risk reduction of either getting or spreading herpes to others. You should avoid/prevent self-infection to other areas of your body. You will do this by making sure that you’re washing your hands with soap and water immediately after touching a sore. Something better, just avoid ever touching a sore.

For prospective parents – If either the mother or the father has genital herpes or if any of the previous partners of either the mother or the father has had herpes you need to talk to the doctor about it.

It’s possible for you to get genital herpes from a cold sore.

If you’re a woman that has genital herpes never skip your pap smear, get it annually.

Herpes is spread through direct contact.

Herpes can play a role in the spreading of HIV. HIV is the virus that leads to AIDs. Herpes is able to make more people susceptible to infection and can make those that have HIV even more infectious.

Final Words of Advice

You must inform yourself about herpes. For many people the diagnosis of herpes can lead to a lifetime of:

  • Confusion
  • Anger
  • Fear
  • Frustration

For many people there seems that there is no place to turn to in order to get some help in dealing with the sensitivity of talking about something like a herpes infection. Although it’s a sensitive subject don’t be afraid, there is help available.
