operate an animal sanctuary on my property. I work a fulltime job to help financially support the sanctuary and I provide about 90% of the daily labor to keep the animals fed and cared for. It's hard, dirty work, but it's also very rewarding.
I've been employed in Information Technology for about 25 years, I live in rural Alabama, and eat a plant-based diet (I'm vegetarian). My current aspirations include: build an eco-friendly home, get off the grid, grow an organic orchard, learn to garden more efficiently, and become more self sufficient. I prefer the wonders of nature for entertainment, although I do enjoy an occasional city jaunt and travel.
